essay contest questions

also sent this in an email to the given address, but wanted to try here to to make sure i get an answer.

I have been working on my submission for this contest for several months and only recently noticed that the rules ask for one topic to be picked. my essay currently discusses a number of topics within the schools all tied together to my central theme. i guess if my current essay were to be titled under one topic it would be "In school." will my essay be acceptable under your standards or should i try to start over with just one topic? i am very proud of my current essay and i would like to assume that an organization such as oblivion would be open to free interpretation of the rules as given. i really hope i can use my current essay in the contest, but i also want to make sure not to disqualify myself. if i do not receive word from you before the contest deadline my plan is to submit the essay as is.

please, clarify soon. i am very busy with student government (trying to implement changes) and would like as much time as possible to work on my essay if it needs to be changed.
